Challenges Faced by Women Founders
-
Gender Discrimination
There are misconceptions around women’s capabilities and competency as leaders in technology. -
Access to Funding
There are more male investors than female investors. In fact, most male investors tend to invest in startups founded by other males. -
Support Network
It is challenging to find advisors or mentors when the majority of those in the entrepreneurial landscape is being dominated by men. -
Fear of Failure
With societal expectations, most women founders unintentionally downplay their own worth, which makes it difficult for them to own their accomplishments.
